I've not crafted in a while. I'm sick and it's quite persistent. I miss posting cards and other crafts here. Luckily I still have a card to show!
I made this card about 2 weeks ago for a family friend. She always sends all of us cards for everything, has done so ever since I met her and she found out my birthday. For every occasion she would send us cards. Birthdays, holidays, pregnancies, just because etc... For the longest time I didn't know her birthday. And too often I'm that kind of person who's too awkward to ask for this kind of information 😂 Then I finally thought I had her birthday in my calendar, and it turned out I had 2 birthdays for her listed within the same month. Aaahhhh! I managed to find out the correct birthday by asking my mother in law (phew). This card has hopefully reached the recipient by now. Her birthday was a few days ago. And if I hasn't, it's still okay to share I think. Because she's not really on internet and social media anyway. I had to explain streaming to her last year, that was adorable haha!

The scalloped circle was cut using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames.
They were coloured using Distress Oxides (Picked Raspberry, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany). I also blended a little pattern on the circle behind the bear using a stencil from Action.

I stamped the bear and cake using Tsukineko Memento Toffee Crunch. Then coloured the images in a somewhat no-line-colouring style using my Copic markers. The white details were done with a Pentel white gel pen.

The background is a simple textured pink paper and the base of the card was done using 300 gsm white cardstock.

The reason for this unusual combination of bears and roses is because I was informed several times that she loves bears. And I know from talking with her that she loves roses too. I did not know what to do with the colours, but I think this suits her! I hope she likes the card. ❤️
